Playing with Friends has never been easier. Yeah Right.

Hey Grunts, been reading about the upcoming game patch. I think yesterday's update was just serverside, and the main 'NerfBomb' will roll out in a few days. Apparently they are also trying to improve integration between here (BL) and the game on xbox. Until then - keep sendin' those FRs to each other, both on here and on XBL. Someone worked out that a 100 strong platoon would have to do 20,000 clicks to all be members, friends and game friends. Like the man said - "Playing with friends has never been easier"!!!!!

Squadding up...

So, Squadding up is a bit tricky... Here's how we did it last night - got about 8-9 of us in.. 1: Form xbl party and chat. Invite friends to it 2: Party leader looks for a fairly empty server and joins 3: All others 'join session in progress' (from his name xbl party list) 4: When in the game, bash the clunky squad select buttons until you can get a 'tick' next to the squad you want (e.g. Charlie, Bravo etc) This bit is the hardest and seems really unresponsive! 5: Enter game and get shot repeatedly by children....

Tips for the Platoon...

Ok fellas, Welcome to all the new (old!) recruits! It's all a bit clunky with battlelog being aimed at the PC game, but it's the only way to see each others stats etc so we'll make the best of what we have. To get [DADZ] to appear, go to 'Home', click 'profile' (really small right at the to), the 'Edit Profile' on left, then put DADZ in the 'Soldier Settings' field...

You can copy/paste people's GTs from battlelog onto the Friend requests at xbox.com. it's easier than (you know who you are) writing them down then going to the xbox and using the controller to 'type' them back in! 

NOTE: some people's battlelog names are different from their GT. You can see their GT in blue on their profile page here on the log.. Gonna be a lot of 'fwending' over the next few days - I'm just accepting all at the moment! - Yep - non 'Dads' are welcome too...
